2 Things I Look for in Vintage Print Dresses

Two things. Delicate florals and tiny polka dots. This is vintage at its best for me. Regardless of whether or not something is vintage, I still prefer small prints, that’s why I’m a fan of delicate florals and tiny polka dots. If you don’t know why I’m a fan of small prints, it’s because they are universally flattering on all shapes and sizes. Here are some great tiny polka dot dresses:

Same fabric, variation in style: The Alexa Dress

Here are a couple variations of this black and white polka dot dress all found on the Trashy Diva Website:

And when it comes to vintage floral, again, I can’t get enough of delicate, tiny flowers. Here’s a long maxi dress from Mooka Kinney. Maxi dresses are really hot right now. Especially with maxi dresses, large print can have a tendency to overwhelm the figure because the fabric drapes to the floor.

Here’s another maxi dress that’s strapless and has a real hippie, gypsy girl feel to it. Very bohemian.

It’s from Libra Vintage.

This one from Hello Lovely is my favorite find of the day! It’s absolutely gorgeous with it’s v-neckline and it’s graduated floral print! Check it out.

This next one is from The Caravan Vintage. I love the detailing of the collar. The sleeve length is pretty interesting as well. Not quite long sleeve. Not quite 3/4th sleeve.

Mama Stone Vintage has this great puff sleeve black floral dress. I love the gathering on the neck and the sleeves!

And in case you want a punch of color, here’s a small print floral shirt dress in bright yellow from Time’s Up. I love how it’s paired off with a purple belt! Brilliant!

Filthy Gorgeous Vintage also has a bright purple number that looks like a skirt and blouse combo but is actually a dress with an elastic waist. I love it!

Those of you who are more into bohemian, hippie vintage looks, these two dresses fit the bill. They are both from Johnny from Goldie Vintage.

I like how this next tube top dress incorporates denim and lacing details. The floral print is perfect. It’s from Freeze Frame Vintage.

Fashionably Independent combines the two looks of tiny polka dots and floral. Check it out! I love the tie sleeves.

Kingston Avenue Vintage has the cutest sleeveless floral romper with tiny floral prints of course!

This next Apocalypse Vintage number is a great example of what I mean by delicate floral print. It’s not only small print but also very feminine and girly. The soft yellow is lovely as well.

Here’s another dress with delicate flowers in shades of pink and purple.

This next mini shirt dress is from Birdy Love Love. It has a warm brown palette. Not a very clear picture. Click on the link to see other pictures in a slide show.

This next Sweet Floral Vintage Folk Hippy Picnic Festival Dress has a lovely sheath top and A-line bottom. Very classy. The red skinny belt matches the dress perfectly!

I also wanted to make sure to include a prairie style dress. This one has delicate floral prints and comes from Meat Market Vintage.

Notice the pale blue ribbon in each tier and the details on the collar!
