Princess Kate knows how to dress the part. I love her for that. She is fabulous, modest, elegant, and everything a modern yet lady-like woman can look to for inspiration.

Here are the five commandments of channeling your inner princess Kate:

1. When in doubt, thou shalt wear your hair down and voluminous.

 

Do I look like I belong in a Pantene commercial? Check. If my hair does not have movement because of over processing, it is time for a more natural color.

2. Thou shalt have your tailor on speed dial.

 

 

Cinched waist. Perfectly tailored blazers. Check. Thou shalt never enter the public arena with ill-fitting attire.

3. Thou shalt dress the part.

 

 

Thou shalt wear a dress in public even if nobody else is wearing a dress. Not very many women feel comfortable wearing a dress unless it’s a special occasion. Thou shalt embrace your womanhood and wear dresses whenever it strikes your fancy, regardless of the occasion.

5. Thou shalt limit your use of sleeveless attire. Sleeveless attire is for the common people.

 

 

Thou shalt instantly look more ladylike by wearing sleeves- especially 3/4th sleeves and long sleeves. Thou shalt still look young and fresh by balancing out the look with a hem that falls at the knee.
