Here’s an idea for how to wear a scarf this holiday season: pair black and white polka dots with bright red.
How to wear a scarf this holiday season
One of the things that many people are searching for these days is how to wear a scarf. Scarves can be tricky, especially if, like me, you have a short neck. For this reason, sometimes a scarf can feel too bulky gathered at the neck area. My solution is choosing an oversized scarf like the one I’m wearing but in a very thin fabric. With it being oversized, I’m able to wrap it around the neck but keep the front part loose. I love to achieve a V-shape with the ends of my scarf for a more flattering effect.
Try this combo with a polka dot scarf
I’ve noticed that one of the most flattering ways to wear a neutral black and white polka dot scarf like the one I’m wearing is to pair it with a pop of color. Bright red is perfect for the holiday season. In the fall I wear it with a darker red like in this post. Since there’s so much going on with the polka dots and bright red, I decided to keep everything else toned down with all black.
