Hi ladies! I’m back and happy to be working again. With much deliberation, I’ve decided go back to primarily focusing on fashion and style here, Monday through Thursday. All the random stuff and recommendations I’d post Tuesday through Thursday will still have a home on the Friday Five feature. Today I just wanted to share two ways to wear a flannel shirt under a blazer if you’re an apple shape.
1. Pair with an open blazer
I like to hike up my sleeves to quarter length and leave room for the flannel sleeves to poke out.
Don’t forget to wear your flannel with several buttons unbuttoned on top to elongate the neck. I like to wear a sports bra underneath as sort of an undershirt.
2. Pair with a blazer and a stretchy wide belt in the same color as your blazer.
I added a hat too. If you’re more of a fan of a waist cinching look rather than a torso elongating look like above, you can try pairing a wide belt with your blazer. This looks most flattering if the belt is the same color as the blazer so it cinches the waist without shortening the torso.
Darker blazer and darker belt with brighter flannel works best.
