BCBG Max Azria Pinstripe Shirtdress This shirt dress makes me think of Sunday brunch with friends in springtime, in someone's backyard, underneath sprawling vines in a trellis, surrounded by greens…
1. Shiny clothes should come with a "danger" label ... ... but dark colored shine is usually okay. When you wear light-colored shiny clothes, you exaggerate that part of your body. It's very hard to pull off shiny light clothes, but some manage! (Glamour May 2005)

With more women retiring and leaving the workplace, women will find more time to entertain and spend time with their family and friends, bringing back the traditional dinner party! What frock to wear?! The look is low-key but ultra classy. My favorite summer dinner-party dresses sit below the knee and are ultra-feminine. I love the slouchy beret! It looks good on everyone because it sits on the head without having to manipulate the hair. Hair can stay exactly in place with this kind of hat. You don't have to tuck your hair away or move your bangs, unlike some other types of hats because it's also not too tight on the head. It also doesn't leave a visible hat line like baseball caps.
[caption id="attachment_634" align="aligncenter" width="350" caption="Honey and Step Up 2"][/caption] (If you are trying to figure out what to wear to a hip hop class, check this series out) I own the movie Honey because I love all sorts of dance movies. Maybe I'm too old to watch these teen movies, but I love them! I also saw the movie Step Up 2 recently as well as Take the Lead and Shall We Dance. Although I love to dress girly in floral dresses, a part of me loves to get into some comfy street clothes and go dancing. When you dance, you're exercising and having a ton of fun. Plus, learning a new skill like hip hop dance moves is empowering, not to mention sexy! I also like dance movies because of the style inspiration of the costume designers. Who knows if the style portrayed on the screen is at all reminiscent of authentic hip hop street style. I just know some of the outfits are worth imitating! So, for the hip hop dancer in you, here are a couple of styles I loved from two dance movies and ways to copy the look.
I know I can't be the only one obsessed with tea dresses at the moment. I raise my tea glasses to you Brits. Of the floral dress styles out there, tea dresses are one of my favorites! (The others are shirtdresses, kimono style dresses, sundresses, and vintage dresses-especially from the 40's and 50's) Of course all of the cutest tea dresses in my selections have small print flowers! With back-to-school days around the corner, it’s not just youngsters worrying about what to wear to school to make a grand statement for the new year, many young, stylish graduates go into the teaching field, not quite sure how to meld their love for fashion and their need to look like a professional teacher. Even for veteran teachers, these tips and timeless looks can be an inspiration to update your look for this new year.
