Without white balance manipulation
With white balance manipulation (using no flash)
A couple of months ago, I took a beginner DSLR photography course through REDred Photo School and Studio in Seattle. Highly recommended if you are looking for a great all day crash course. I had a Groupon voucher and man! it was worth every penny. Just learning about how to manipulate white balance made a huge difference in my photos! (such an easy fix too).
I went to Texas last week and did this mini makeover/photo shoot with one of my besties, Robyn. (Thank you!) White balance made all the difference, especially since I don’t really know that much about photography. It’s great being able to manipulate white balance, making objects brighter without the use of harsh, unnatural flash. (see the difference between the first photo below–using white balance manipulation without flash, and the second and third photo below– with flash.) Just to give you an idea of what white balance can do, none of the photos in this post have been edited. Check it out!
