*I usually share outfits that emphasize flattering an apple shape, but while I’m growing my baby bump, I’ll be sharing my pregnancy style.
Pregnancy style that doesn’t have to be maternity wear
I had this tunic before I got pregnant as it’s not maternity wear. It’s nice to be able to save some money and use some tops I already have since I have a lot of long tops that are stretchy. My pregnancy style is similar to what I normally wear, but I’ve noticed I’m leaning more towards tighter and brighter outfits. The tighter outfits make me feel better because it shows off my bump instead of making me feel like I’m wearing a bag and looking even bigger than I am. The brighter colors make me feel happier and more energetic.
Today I am approaching 18 weeks of pregnancy and feeling so much better. My energy is increasing which makes me feel more like myself and the nausea is getting better. It’s strange because the nausea only hits me in the afternoons to evening time and I know most women experience morning sickness. So, I try my best to eat well during the day and get a lot of exercise and work in. I work out at home 40 minutes, 4-5xs a week. Youtube exercise videos are a life saver! I just do a search for “40 minute pregnancy workouts,” “40 minute strength training,” or “40 minute low impact workout,” and there are so many options.
Where you can get items similar to what I’m wearing
Long, non-maternity tops in a stretchy fabric and an empire waist work well for pregnancy. Here’s a blue one.
The obsession with these nude sunnies continues! Here’s a similar round pair.
Another bright red pom beanie.
Red pointed toe flats for a modern feel.
