My favorite coats for apple shapes have very specific features:
Fit and flare shape with a higher waist and vertical shoulder seams-Wool and Puffer Jacket
Not this: (This is a drop shoulder jacket with no identifiable waist yikes!!)
A knee length puffer jacket with a stretchy belt and a mock neck-
This- A mock neck is super super flattering as it creates a vertical line on both sides of the neck, elongating it!
Not this- This is a cropped puffer jacket with a drop shoulder, a definite no no as it creates volume on the upper half of the body with no defined waist.
Also not this- This is an extra long puffer jacket with gigantic segments and no defined waist.
Typically with puffer jackets, the smaller the segments, the more flattering, and if you have the option to have diagonal lines instead of horizontal lines, it’s also more flattering.
