* All my outfits emphasize flattering an apple shape -wider shoulders/narrow hips. In this picture I am 5’1 ‘and 140lbs. I am petite and also have a high waist and short torso.
The sweater that balloons in all the wrong places
I’m usually a big fan of the v-neck sweater, but this one I avoid at all costs! It’s so funny because my husband hates this kind of sweater on himself as well. It’s actually any sweater with a band at the bottom hem that creates a little pouf above it. Like this:

Yuck!
Why this band at the bottom of a sweater ruins everything
Because this band on the hem of the sweater gathers in at the bottom of the sweater instead of the smallest part of the waist, it creates almost like this unflattering balloon like effect! As an apple shape, the last thing I need is to add a “shelf” right around my waist. Say no to the balloon sweater!
But I do love this part of this outfit!
I realized I hated this kind of sweater when I did a photo shoot with this outfit. Oh well, you live, you learn. On the plus side, I learned that I DO love the combination of this green with animal print! Whoohoo!

But don’t be fooled, this outfit ONLY looks good from the side haha.
Other outfit items similar to what I’m wearing(when available): This headband is not tight and not small like the majority I’ve run across. Great for my big head. Silver rimmed aviators. Aviators look good on everyone! The only jeans I am wearing these days are high rise jeans from Articles of Society. Why can’t every shoe be as comfortable as wedges?!
