The Friday Five

The Friday Five

How are you today?! I have gone back to going to playgrounds in the am instead of the afternoon- wow it has made a huge difference in my energy levels! Maybe it’s the morning light? It’s supposed to be more beneficial in the morning. Here are some other things boosting my moods these days:

1. A Beautiful and Heartbreaking True Love Story and Amazing Soundtrack

Have you seen the true to life story of Jeremy Camp as depicted by KJ Apa on the Netflix movie, “I Still Believe?” It’s a good movie! I usually can’t get through a Christian movie, but this one kept my attention! I also highly highly recommend the soundtrack– all the songs by KJ Apa are amazing! Or ask Alexa or Google to play “Songs that sound like KJ Apa.” It’s my morning go-to for mellow worship music. Here’s the trailer for the movie-

These are the five songs I have on repeat by KJ Apa:

2. A Trip to the Reptile Zoo

It seems like such a treat these days to go anywhere indoor! We masked up our whole family and headed to the Reptile Zoo in Monroe, Wa. Noah and Luke had fun holding a python and a small crocodile. I couldn’t help but feel bad for all the imprisoned animals though I must say! It will probably be a one time trip for us, but it was fun and a nice change of activity.

3. A Good Ruching Top

I love a good ruching top. I love when the ruching is right around my midsection. All the busyness distracts from my middle. Of course it doesn’t hurt if it’s also a v-neck! I also do love some good ruching in the sleeves or shoulder area.

Here are some good ruching options if you’re in the market:

4. Japanese BBQ

I’ve always been a big fan of Korean BBQ places where you cook your meat in front of you at the table, and they bring a bunch of yummy sides and rice, but my friend Sol just turned me onto Japanese BBQ! If you’re in the area, you have to check out this place in Bellevue. It’s sooo soo good and better than any Korean BBQ place I’ve been to.

5. Mindy Gledhill’s “California”

Ok I know I’m not the only one missing traveling for pleasure these days! This song reminds me of a time long past and a time to look forward to in the future. Paris I’m talking to you.

I hope you are hanging in there as we are all trying to over here. It’s been a tough couple of weeks for me with the change of seasons and darker, rainier days. Here’s to hoping for more sunny fall days in our future. xoxo
