Friday Find: The Invention that Will Get You to Wear Necklaces, Bracelets, and Anklets More Often

the necklace, clasp

This invention makes me want to wear the necklace that would probably be sitting in my jewelry drawer.

The real reason why you don’t use the necklace, the bracelets, and the anklets in your jewelry drawer

I love jewelry, I really do. But I hate putting them on. It’s because of those tiny little clasps. I’m less motivated to wear jewelry when it’s a struggle to attach one end to the other. It seriously blows my mind that the difference between doing something on a day to day basis, versus not doing something sometimes just boils down to it being super convenient or inconvenient.

If you want to do something often, you just have to make it as convenient as possible.

It’s my goal to wear my jewelry more often,  so my hubby found the perfect solution!

Now you can wear your necklaces and bracelets without anyone’s help.

The necklace and bracelet solution

He bought me these strong magnetic lobster clasps. You attached a magnet on each end of your necklace or bracelet and then it’s such a cinch to put them on. The magnets are super strong so they stay in place, and you don’t have to worry about them coming off. We even use similar larger magnets to hold our keys by the front door. Such an easy and cheap solution. Wish I knew about this sooner. Now all I have to do is hold the ends of my necklace in each hand and place my hands behind my neck. Once the ends are close enough, the magnets just attach and stay in place all day!

Where you can get items similar to what I’m wearing

If you’re in the market, here are a few gold geometric statement necklaces I love. 1. 2. 3 (rose gold).

and an orangey red dress.

Other things I’ve found that make my life easier

Getting two of the same things I use in different locations.

Using cornstarch as dry shampoo and a fluffy brush for application.
