*Will this outfit work on your body type? All my outfits emphasize flattering an apple shape -wider shoulders/narrow hips. In these pictures I am 5’1′ 140lbs. I am petite and also have a high waist and short torso.
A tutu- Who says you have to be a young ballerina to wear one?
I’ve been looking everywhere for an affordable grown up tutu. Finally, I found this one! I love how feminine the tulle looks. Whenever I wear something as a statement piece, I try to make everything else very simple, so I paired it with black ballet flats (more ballerina inspiration) and a 3/4th sleeve v-neck top. Since the skirt is so long and full, I wanted to keep the top dark and form fitting.
Where you can find items similar to what I’m wearing
As far as tutus go, I actually love this shorter more fit and flare version.
I would have gotten that one if I had known it was available. A shorter length looks better on my petite frame.
This basic 3/4th sleeve v-neck top is only $13! It’s a comfy polyester, rayon, spandex blend.
I love when a black ballerina flat has a little bow on it. Aerosoles are super comfy.
