As you might already know, I love wall decals. They are a great alternative to jazzing up a wall without having to deal with the disaster that can become wallpaper, the mess of paint, and the expense of a large painting or canvas art. We already have used one wall decal we got at Target: A panoramic view of the Eiffel Tower and the surrounding city. We put it on the top of a ledge:
Nate also found the wire Eiffel Tower that sits in front of it. I thought it looked cool to have the decal look more like a shadow.
I’m already thinking I want to get some vintage frames for our guest bedroom, something like this. But I only really like two of the frames… (the large gold and the small pink)
I love Julia Rothman’s work! If I were brave enough and could convince my husband to let me wallpaper one side of the guest room, I would DEFINITELY do this wall paper. Isn’t it gorgeous!?
I’ve also thought about this 9 piece eiffel tower:
Blik.com is great for cartoons, kids wall-decall and artistic pieces. I like Allposters.com for real to life decals. Like this beautiful Green Leaves window Decal. Wouldn’t it look absolutely perfect in a small city apartment that is lacking in greenery?
Same thing goes for these pink geraniums. They are impressively realistic!
Can’t keep an indoor herb garden to save your life? At least you can pretend with these aromatic herb plants:
There is quite a huge selection of realistic nature inspired wall decals. You can see them here.
Also, I’m quite impressed that decals can not only be beautiful, they can also be useful. I love the idea of label decals for hanging items in a mudroom:
Or how about having a gold framed menu displayed in the kitchen so everyone knows what’s for dinner:)
I’m trying to decide between these trees:
I’m so excited about this project! I promise to post some pictures when I’m done:)
