Working Girl

This weekend I went to the Westfield Southcenter Style Tour and got to talk to a stylist about the upcoming fall trends. (will post on that later) I also got to meet Stacy London, host of the TLC long running show, What Not to Wear. She is absolutely lovely in person, so sweet and down to earth. The two minutes I got to talk to her, I felt like it was meeting up with an old friend. She’s very approachable. I don’t know how celebrities stay “on” for all their fans when they do tours. It’s amazing.

The stylist showed me how to pull off statement necklaces on my petite frame. Having grown up without wearing jewelry until I was in my late 20’s (conservative background), jewelry is always something I struggle with. Every time I put something on, I second guess myself and feel like it’s too much! With the help of Stacy London’s stylist crew, I feel like I have a better idea of how to pull it off.

Inspired by the stylist, I decided to throw on a little jewelry (black chain statement necklace) on my next photo shoot. I thrifted the dress for $10, the 3/4th blazer was from Ross (I cut off the long sleeves and altered it to 3/4th), and my “jewelry” came from a t-shirt from Miley Cyrus’ line at Walmart.
